The road was widened to accommodate a right hand turn lane as well as a utility corridor. Road widening included the placement of thousands of tonnes of material as well as construction of a 140m long retaining wall.

A number of utility installations were required for future servicing including a 600m long watermain, 700m of joint trench communications conduits and 100m of sewer works.

The site was finished with highway spec asphalt, decorative columns, concrete sidewalks and streetlighting.
