Complete Utility Contractors (CUC) is proud to announce that we have been awarded a sewer separation project for the City of Vancouver.

Located on East 35th Avenue between Main Street and Quebec Street, the project involves both the replacement of existing sewer infrastructure and the installation of new utilities. The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 76 metres of 525 mm pipe and 74 metres of 1800 mm pipe as part of the City’s sewer separation program.

The project will replace aging infrastructure originally installed in 1931, alongside new sewer construction designed to meet modern service requirements. Adding a unique historical element, project documentation indicates that the original sewer was hexagonal in shape—despite being illustrated as octagonal in early records—making it a notable example of Vancouver’s legacy underground infrastructure.

Construction is expected to take approximately six months and will be carried out within an active urban environment. The work will require careful coordination, comprehensive traffic management, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Projects like this highlight CUC’s expertise in delivering complex underground utility work while supporting the City of Vancouver’s long-term infrastructure renewal objectives. We look forward to working closely with the City to complete this project safely and successfully.
