Our crew has officially wrapped up work along 15th Street at Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver, installing 215 metres of 250mm TR Flex watermain pipe, along with all the necessary tie-ins.
For this project, we used TR Flex — a boltless, restrained joint system for ductile iron water mains. In simple terms, it's a reliable, watertight solution that's perfect for keeping things secure underground for the long haul.
Working along Lonsdale Avenue definitely kept us on our toes. It's one of the busiest corridors in the city, with constant foot traffic, steady vehicle flow, and a mix of restaurants, local shops, and surrounding residential high-rises. Keeping everything running smoothly meant careful planning and close coordination with all our project partners and stakeholders.
"Given how much work — and digging — was involved, we're really proud of how smoothly everything went," says Luke Gingras, Project Manager at Complete Utility Contractors. "We kept disruptions to a minimum for nearby residents and businesses. And I'm pretty sure everyone will be happy to enjoy a much quieter day now that four weeks of construction noise is behind them."
