2021 District of Squamish Sanitary Upgrade, Mamquam Road

Complete Utility Contractors recently completed the all 2021 utility packages for the District of Squamish. These packages included installation of 700m of 300mm diameter steel watermain 300mm with all required services, hydrants, air valves, as well as, installation of 700m 375mm to 450mm sanitary sewer at a depth of 5 meters.

This sanitary project included the installation of well points along the entire trench alignment due to high ground water table. The construction of a trench-less shaft adjacent to the Sea-to-Sky highway was completed for the installation of a 80 meter long, 750mm diameter steel casing pipe installed by tunnelling.

The project consists of the construction of sanitary sewer along Mamquam Rd, between Government Rd and Diamond Head Rd in Squamish. The scope of work includes a trenchless crossing of a 750mm steel casing with 450mm HDPE carrier pipe, installed via guided pipe ramming. This project consists of approximately 450 meters of PVC pipe varying from 200mm to 525mm pipe diameter, approximately 4.5 to 3 meters deep requiring well point dewatering.
